Got fed up of sitting at home waiting for the wind to blow and after three days of windsurfing making 25,29 & 24kts. max speed so not bad it was good to get out on the bikes:) We made a flask and headed to Felixstowe Ferry avioding the busy Sunday prom. We stopped on the banks of the River Deben for a cuppa and watch the yachts head out to sea, three canoes enjoying the waves and fast currents and even saw a fishing boat taking a short cut through the shingle banks :) we even managed to collect a small bag of coal. It was then out along the bumpy River path to Kings fleet which was very pretty with purple sea lavender :) Heading towards Kirton we turned off early and headed back to Felixstowe, it had been breeze the whole bike ride and I was keen to get out windsurfing. After a quick salad I checked the weather and the wind had been all over the place in both direction and strength:( With the wind swinging west The Fludgers was the only local option. On reaching there Mark Swain had packed up and Mark Davis had already left for Alton so I hadn't missed much in Felixstowe. The wind is now west and fresh perhaps I should have been brave enough to go to Point Clear!
